Welcome to the internet ministry of the

Faith church of Christ.

We hope this website helps you in your Christian walk.  It is our goal as disciples of Jesus of Nazareth to follow when He said: “Freely you received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8 NASB).   We have been blessed by the teachings of the Lord Jesus and those that were trained and sent out by Him and we want to share that blessing with others.  We are available for any questions you might have and are still asking questions ourselves.  We believe we can be wrong but God is always right.  That is why we search God’s Words and always strive for answers that are a full reflection of His expressed will.  Because there is a God and He wrote a Book.

“She’s the apple of my eye.”  What part of the eye is the “apple”?  Originally, it meant the middle part that opens and closes; the aperture of the eye.  The Latin word for “opening” is aperīre which turned into apple, somehow.  Now we call it the pupil.

What is so special about the middle of your eye?  It is about the most sensitive part of your body.  I learned that the hard way the first time I put contacts in my eyes.

Did you know that God has a sensitive “pupil”?   When the Bible speaks of how God cared for His loved one, it says this:  “He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.”  (Deuteronomy 32:10)

And in another place:  “he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.” (Zechariah 2:8 NASB)

How many sensitive “eyes” does God have?  As many as there are people in this world.  For God loves all His children.  So, when it comes to you, God is super sensitive.  He hurts over you. -CWC

We welcome your questions and comments.
